Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at [yourwebsite.com] (the “Site”), operated by TaskRelay (“we,” “us,” “our”), a staffing agency serving in Canada.
By accessing or using the Site, applying for a position through the Site, or registering as a candidate or client, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who We Are
TaskRelay connects job-seeking individuals (“Candidates”) with businesses seeking staffing solutions (“Clients”). References to “you” or “User” mean any Candidate, Client, or visitor using the Site.
2. Eligibility to Use the Site
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are between the ages of 16 and 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You must reside in, or be legally authorized to work in, Canada to apply for positions listed on the Site, unless a specific posting states otherwise.
- By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Accounts
- One account per individual. We reserve the right to suspend or merge duplicate accounts.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [contact email] if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or close accounts that are inactive, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms, at our discretion and generally without prior notice.
4. What the Site Is (and Isn’t) For
The Site allows Candidates to browse and apply for job postings, and allows Clients to post staffing needs or search Candidate profiles. We do not guarantee that any Candidate will be placed in a role, or that any Client will find a suitable Candidate. All placements are subject to interviews, screening, and mutual agreement between the parties involved.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Site, you agree that you will not:
- Impersonate another person, or create a profile for anything other than a real individual seeking employment or a legitimate business seeking staff;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including fake credentials, references, or job postings);
- Use the Site to harass, discriminate against, or threaten another user;
- Scrape, harvest, or collect contact information of other users for marketing or any purpose outside the intended use of the Site;
- Post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
- Attempt to bypass security features, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with the normal operation of the Site;
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Site without our written permission;
- Solicit Candidates or Clients found through the Site for an unrelated commercial purpose without their consent.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including removing content, suspending accounts, and — where warranted — involving law enforcement.
6. Candidate Submissions
When you submit a resume, work history, references, or other material (“Candidate Content”), you confirm it is accurate and that you own or have the right to share it. You grant TaskRelay a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and share that content with prospective Clients for the purpose of evaluating you for job opportunities. You may request removal of your Candidate Content at any time by contacting us; see our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Client Postings
Clients posting job openings are responsible for the accuracy of those postings and must comply with applicable Canadian and provincial employment, human rights, and pay-equity legislation. We reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove any posting that we believe violates these Terms or the law, including postings that are discriminatory, misleading, or unrelated to a genuine employment opportunity.

9. Ownership of the Site
All text, graphics, logos, and software on the Site (excluding Candidate and Client Content) are the property of TaskRelay or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Site without our prior written consent.
10. Copyright Complaints
If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice to info@taskrelay.ca including: identification of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing material on the Site, your contact information, and a statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorized.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites (e.g., social media, job boards) that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third-party sites.
12. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskRelay disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of Candidate or Client submissions.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskRelay and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost income, lost employment opportunities, or lost business — arising from your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [Your Company Name], its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
15. Termination
Either party may end this agreement at any time. You may close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or posed a risk to other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) will continue to apply.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Moncton, New Brunswick.
